HISBE Food CIC is a new type of supermarket, powered by local people, community spirit and a social enterprise business model. HISBE stands for “how it should be” and we’re on a mission to transform the food industry by reinventing the way supermarkets do business.
HISBE Food sells everyday food that we all recognise, but not the big brands that people are most familiar with. Instead, we prioritise local products (40% of our range is from Sussex) and work with suppliers and wholesalers who care about health, sustainability and trading fairly. We also sell hundreds of products «packaging free», including fruit, veg, pasta, rice, breakfast cereals, pulses, grains, chocolate, nuts, seeds, olive oil, cleaning products and soaps.
